Sometimes Taking The Scenic Route Is Best
Coming from the parking lot on Carson Pass was definitely the long way. The trail coming up from Schneider Cow Camp is much shorter. This made for a long day with heavy packs.

Continued from my report of Peak 9452. While sitting around waiting for a buck to step out, but only seeing more hunters, I checked my app to see we were only 2 miles from Little Round Top. Considering I have been wanting to tag this Peak and we were already this far in, we decided to go for it. This is one of those peaks that just never seemed to get closer. I lugged my 30-lb pack and rifle all the way up. Making for a long tiring day. The summit has a circular rock pile made right at the top. The views are fantastic. Pyramid Peak seems so close compared to the other Carson Pass peaks. Hung out here for a few minutes. No register found. Hunted our way back to Carson Pass. When it was all said and done, we logged 14 miles, bagged 2 peaks, saw 3 deer, 1 coyote, and 8 other Hunters. Great day! Even though the wind was relentless!
